The Sandy Sunset (formerly Pillowcasesforcancer) began after my grandson Roman was diagnosed with AML M7, just before his 2nd Birthday on August 14, 2013. After Roman's remarkable journey into remission, I sought to spread hope and kindness. Inspired by Roman's comfort in the gifts of cute pillowcases, I created Pillowcases for Cancer. This allowed me to secure extra funding for fabric to make pillowcases to donate to local hospitals, which is still in practice.

Building on my lifelong enthusiasm for crafting, the page evolved into The Sandy Sunset, where I have expanded my offerings through various artistic craft endevors to include many additional items for purchase.

My hobbies aside from crafting include, being and avid Buffalo Bills Fan, a Disney fanatic, photography, spending time with family and traveling.
